The new Animal Resource Complex in Salem is now open. An open house is scheduled from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday.
The Humane Society of Columbiana County’s ARC building will be, according to their website “a center for all things animal related.” It offers an indoor area for dog walking, doggie events such as movies you can share with your dog, Poochie Playtimes and other fun activities.
Private puppy parties can also be booked at the Complex. They also offer dog training.
“It’s a one-stop place,” society operations director Heather Jurina told wkbn.com. She added “If you’re having a problem or an issue we’re going to be able to give you an idea or direction to try to help.”
Funding to build the complex came from an anonymous donor; however the Humane Society still needs donations to help keep the programs in operation.
The Animal Resource Complex is located at 721 E. Pidegon Road in Salem, Ohio.
