Developed by Chilean developer ACE Team, “Abyss Odyssey” is a side-scrolling action/adventure game that features a complex fighting engine and procedurally generated levels that are sure to keep players battling for eternity. With levels that never play the same way twice, and enemies that are as technically complex as the main characters, players will have to perform combos, chaining attacks and releasing flurries of blows as they challenge the abyss. Along the way, you will also learn to possess enemies, allowing players to use their enemies skills to make their way through the game.

The lengthy trailer is available up top and it shows off much of what gamers can expect to see in “Abyss Odyssey”, including capturing enemy souls as well as local and online multiplayer. This trailer also gives you a good look at the intriguing art style, the game’s story and the combat, which looks to be a major emphasis for the game and should offer a fair amount of difficulty for those gamers looking for a challenge.. “Abyss Odyssey” will be available for the PlayStation 3, via the PlayStation Network, Xbox 360, via Xbox Live, and PC, via Steam, beginning on July 15, 2014. The price listed on Steam at the moment is $9.99, a discount for preorders, the regular price is $14.99.
