After the hustle and bustle of the holidays and all those after holiday sales, there are new product lines coming our way. With every new year, goodies abound in the paper crafting world. What new trends and products are coming ? Elegant and whimsical papers, stamps and tools, the list is almost endless.
Stampin’ Up! is coming out with the option to purchase your stamps with wood mounts or unmounted for use with acrylic blocks. This looks to be a great move, as storage will become less of a problem. Wood mounts are bulky and take a lot of space, while unmounted images can be easily stored in a CD case or a binder.
Hero Arts has presented a new catalog for the year. It is bursting with new images and inspiration. A definite must see. You can see it here.
Hobby Lobby stores are going online the first part of 2010. For those crafters who don’t have a store close to them, this is fabulous. Currently, you can use their related site, Crafts, Etc! to purchase products.
Martha Stewart is introducing several new punches. Ms. Stewart’s crafting line is sure to be a best seller. Quality comes with the name, so these products are sure to perform.
Paper Cupcakes, a new online store boasts adorable new digi stamps with the click of your mouse. The images are all drawn by owner Nina May. Her heart comes out with each new creation. She generously gives a free digi stamp each Monday morning on her blog, There’s Magic in the Air.
While you are shopping for all the new buys out there, keep in mind all the seasonal items will be going on sale to make room for all these new goodies. Year-end sales are a great time to stock up on some of your favorites of the year.
While all these new product lines are exciting, be sure to remember the old standbys that have been around for years. Tools like the embossing gun and good scissors will always be with us. This is also a good time to take stock, are there tools in your craft room that might need replacing?

Lots of good information here and I must agree, I will always cherish my heat embosser and a good pair of scissors!! I have "MOM" written all over my nice 3 pairs that I have now.
