Icewind Dale is an iconic location in the history of the series, it was the subject of R.A. Salvatore’s “Icewind Dale Trilogy”. “Curse of Icewind Dale” will tie heavily into the story and takes place after the events of the “Legacy of the Crystal Shard” module.

Included in the “Curse of Icewind Dale” update will be iconic “Icewind Dale” locations, like Dwarven Valley, Caer-Konig and Icewind Pass, Black Ice, which can be harvested and used to make some of the most powerful gear in the game, and a new Hunter Ranger paragon path, called the Pathfinder. There will also be two new opposing groups, the Ten-Towners and the Arcane Brotherhood, each offering different quests and the ability to harvest Black Ice. Open world PvP will also be available in areas flagged for PvP and fans can also expect a new PvE campaign. More details about the “Curse of Icewind Dale” module can be found at this link.

“Neverwinter” players can look for “Curse of Icewind Dale” to launch on May 13, 2014. To sign up for the game, you can visit the official site. Screenshots from “Curse of Icewind Dale” can be found in the slideshow and a lore trailer is available, both on the left.
