Today another school shooting exploded on the campus of a Nevada middle school as one heroic teacher, and two students were wounded by a student shooter. According to authorities, survivors of this shooting were confused because the student was described as a “good student.” It is unknown what the reasons were for the shooting, but we may never know since the shooter took his life after fatally shooting his teacher.
The country now returns to the conversation about gun control and why there should be concerns in regard to the amount of school shootings that have occurred in the United States. There has always been bullying in school but it has become the norm that students are resorting to violent acts of revenge. Should the gun owners be responsible for allowing their child access to their firearm? What kind of backlash will yet another incident of gun violence have on this country’s gun problem?
NRA representatives have already started their defense campaign, emphasizing that teachers should be armed in the classroom, which is probably not the best idea since teachers may accidentally shoot their students and claim self-defense.
