In certain fairytales, the kingdom hosts a grand party where everyone comes dressed in their best clothes. Well last night in the kingdom of Las Vegas the Nevada Ballet Theatre hosted one such event.
It was time for Nevada Ballet Theatre’s Black and White Ball. The Black and White Ball has always been a star-studded gala that honors such luminaries as Debbie Reynolds, Chita Riviera, Celine Dion, Bette Midler, Maries Osmond, Eva Longoria and this year the fabulous Mitzi Gaynor.
The photographers were even dressed up for the occasion as they waited for the celebrities to arrive. It was challenging to know who the celebrities were at this event as everyone was dressed up so magnificently.
Woman walked by the red carpet dressed like princesses in flowing gowns and sparkling jewelry. The gentleman that walked by the red carpet were immaculately tailored in custom tuxedos.
The first person to walk the red carpet was former Mrs. Nevada-America 2011, Amanda Kouretas with her prince and husband Demetri. Amanda showed off her amazing outfit to the photographers and then took a few pictures with her husband. The couple then was off to enjoy the festivities.
Next to walk the red carpet was the glowing Holly Madison. Holly showed off her simply black but elegant dress to the photographers and then turned to the side to show off her baby bump. Holly was full of smiles as she caressed her belly.
What would a black tie event be without the swagger of the UK sensation Matt Goss. Looking like James Bond but without the theme music Matt walked the red carpet with his impeccable style.
Robin Antin who is a choreographer, dancer, music video director, actress, and even clothing designer was next to walk the red carpet. Robin who is best known for her role with the Pussycat Dolls was happy to show off in her short black dress. The photographers eagerly snapped away with their cameras.
The belle of the ball was next on the red carpet. Mitzi Gaynor walked the carpet with the energy of a twenty year old. Mitzi who is in her eighties may be best known for her role in South Pacific. She is the one who sang, “I’m going to wash that man right out of my hair.” Mitzi was dressed to the nines showing she hasn’t slowed down a bit.
The next person to walk the red carpet was the legendary fashion designer Bob Mackie. People swarmed the red carpet to snap a photo of this amazing designer. Mr. Mackie handled the attention with dignity and poise as he tried to smile at each one of the cameras pointed at him.
Heating up the red carpet, were none other than Playboy Playmates Tishara Cousino followed by soon to be Las Vegas Headliner Claire Sinclair. Both of these ladies wore form fitting ankle length dresses that kept the photographers busy taking photos.
Singer and actress Pia Zadora graced the red carpet with her elegant flair. Dressed in a sparkling floor length gown Pia took a few photos then grabbed her husband to join her on the red carpet.
Last but not least to walk the carpet was Las Vegas headliner Carrot Top. Showing off his unique style, which included a t-shirt with a pink bow tie, Carrot Top had fun posing for photos. When asked about his shoes Carrot Top did the unexpected. He actually took his shoe off and posed with it. Stating “Prada made the best shoes!” After a few more endorsement photos, Carrot Top put his shoe back on and the red carpet was over.
