Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP)is an effective approach to health improvement. Regardless of what you believe or what science has proven, the mind-body connection is undeniable. Your thoughts, attitudes, beliefs and expectations are determining factors in the state of your health. In other words, real health improvement begins with you, in your mind.
What is Neuro-Linguistic Programming? The main premise of NLP is that what we express in words is a reflection of subconscious perceptions of our problems. When these words and perceptions are inaccurate, negative or unhealthy, our problems will remain. You are the person you are based on the thoughts that you think and the beliefs that you choose to hold on to. If you continue to believe that you cannot overcome pain or illness, then you will not overcome it. If you think that you are destined to suffer poor health you will continue to experience a vicious cycle of health problems; when you get over the flu, you’ll start having back pain, and when the back pain ends another health issue will occur to replace that. Why? Because you believe that ‘pain and illness’ are inevitable and therefore, they are inevitable for you. Your mind continues to create a self-fulfilling prophecy. If you change your thoughts you will change your situation.
The Power of Belief. Neuro linguistic programming will help you identify the negative words and thoughts that keep you from receiving what you want, which is better health. NLP is not an instant solution, but it is a step in the right direction. When you begin to believe that you have the ability to improve your health, you will begin to make healthier lifestyle choices. You will begin to take a daily walk in spite of the pain in your body. You will begin to focus on eating more nutritious meals. You will begin to take better care of your body once you believe and understand that doing so will reduce pain and illness and eventually they will no longer be part of your reality.
Universal Law. If you think deeply about NLP you will realize that it all goes back to the primary law of the universe, the law of attraction. Once you understand how the law of attraction works you will be able to attract better health or whatever it is you are seeking. It is essential that you do not misunderstand the law of attraction. It is not a ‘free ticket’ that gives you something for nothing. While activating the law of attraction in your life you will receive guidance from the universe on appropriate actions to take to facilite the process of attracting. It may come in the form of a book you need to read or a conversation that you might have unexpectedly. You will know from your emotions, feelings, when you are moving in the right direction. And if the action you’re taking or the choices you're making do not feel good - something feels off, chances are you are moving in the wrong direction.

Neuro linguistic programming, the secret, the teachings of Abraham, as a man thinketh so is he, and similar voices of wisdom have been around since the beginning of time - perhaps called by different names- and they hold truth.
