HOW MANY PEOPLE SHOW UP
The Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce hosts a variety of events that vary in size; anywhere between 50 people up to 200 people depending on the venue. At this event, Discover the Hospitality Gems of the Tri-Valley, we are expecting 200-300 attendees. We make sure people are open and approachable, regardless of how many people show up... you will be able to meet and talk to anyone... our greeters will be there to make introductions and keep things moving.

ABOUT THE PANEL OF SPEAKERS

DAVID MITROFF

Piedmont Avenue Consulting was founded by David Mitroff, Ph.D., to meet the growing needs of the consulting relationships he has built with organizations and business owners in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond over the last 15 years.Dr. Mitroff has held numerous consultative sales and technology positions, along with co-founding three companies, covering diverse environments including technology, business, legal, financial, retail, restaurant, government, academic, and health care. His extensive education includes a Doctorate Degree, Masters, and Bachelors, in Clinical Psychology with additional coursework in law and business administration. This wealth of knowledge is transferred to clients, in particular, David shows clients how to master the psychology behind the customers decisions leading to heightened sales, increased customer experiences, and enhanced relationship building techniques.

CHRIS CHANDLER

Chris Chandler provides the Livermore Valley Winegrowers Association with an exceptional combination of strategic leadership, marketing implementation, and hospitality experience. She has held marketing and leadership positions in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors including Disney Studios, the entertainment industry’s Environmental Media Association in Los Angeles, Sony’s Metreon and the American Cancer Society. Prior to joining the Livermore Valley Winegrowers Association five and a half years ago, she was a Director for Tavistock Restaurants, LLC in Emeryville.

ETHAN FLETCHER

A lifelong foodie, Ethan worked as a reporter at the San Francisco Examiner newspaper for several years before moving to the East Bay and joining Diablo. He is responsible for all food-related coverage in the magazine and online, including penning the weekly Dish dining column that appears every Wednesday on diablomag.com.

MATT TOOMEY

Matt is the President and Co-Founder of LocalGrüv, a Tri-Valley Daily Deal Site. Launched just over a year ago, LocalGrüv’s success has been a result of a hyper-local approach, social media savvy, and a unique take on Daily Deals. Matt’s strengths and experience include Facebook strategy for businesses, Facebook Marketing/Advertising, Social Marketing, and Branding for small businesses.

TIM TOONEN

Tim Toonen moved to the Bay Area from Nashville, Tennessee a year ago to accept his current position as Director of Marketing and Branding for the Tri-Valley Tourism Bureau. He is accomplished, and has more than 20 years experience working as a creative professional. Prior to moving to the Tri-Valley Tim was contracted by Voith Industrial Services to develop a new brand for their North American Operations including front-end design and development of the software used for the companies Intranet. Toonen was also responsible for a majority of the company’s creative, including design, copywriting and photography, for internal communications, marketing, presentations and training materials. Toonen founded, and served as CEO/Publisher, of Scene Newspapers in Wisconsin from 1993-2002, and was CEO for Nashville’s Freedom Press Publishing from 2004-2008.

ABOUT THE ENTERTAINMENT

James Nagel is an artist apart from other singer/songwriters. His voice will warm your soul while his earthy tunes will grab hold of your spirit, keeping you begging for more. His sound is heavily influenced by timeless greats, and it artistically blends old-school rock and roll with contemporary, zesty pop. This down-to-earth Bay Area native has an unparalleled passion and drive that is not going unnoticed in today’s music industry. President of Songwriter’s Resource Network and Writer/Producer Steve Cahill (Tom Waits, Randy Newman, Billy Joel) hails James as, “easily one of the most talented young songwriters around today. His work resonates with insight, emotional complexity and creative passion. James is an artist who impresses on every level.”
