Network in Northern Colorado: Jan. 22-29

Pick networking events that you can attend every time the group meets.
Consistency is key!

Why networking?: Networking is no longer only for the unemployed. The reality of today’s economy is one of volatility where “stability” for professionals means having an up-to-date skill set and a strong network to help you land quickly when the next transition happens.

This week’s networking tip: If your goal is to build a network of people that believe in you enough to promote you to others, they need to have a closer connection with you than meeting briefly at one networking event. The key – consistency. Experiment with a few groups to find those where you connect with people and then continue going to that event or group every time. Do what you say you will do and add value to others; you will be surprised at how it is returned if you give it time.
