NetherRealm studio's 'Injustice: Gods Among Us' gets a cinematic trailer

Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios released a new cinematic trailer today showcasing their latest title, "Injustice: Gods Among Us". The trailer, "Versus", shows footage of Lex Luthor in action and features several other cast members such as Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman whose dialogue hints at the game's plot.

This bold new fighting game introduces an original story that includes a large cast of favorite DC Comics icons such as Nightwing, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Cyborg, Harley Quinn, the Joker and many more. The characters will fall between two classes: power characters and gadget characters. The power types are those who use brute force and strength to take down their opponents as opposed to the gadget characters who rely on external mechanisms.

The "Injustice: Gods Among Us" Collector’s Edition ($99.99) will be available in the United States and will include:

  • Exclusive DC Collectibles statue featuring iconic characters Batman and Wonder Woman, the Fortress of Solitude, and the Last Son of Krypton’s escape ship
  • Special Collector’s Edition of the Injustice: Gods Among Us comic book
  • Digital download of DC Universe animated film Justice League: Doom
  • Three exclusive skins based on Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman from DC Comics – The New 52

The title is scheduled to be released on April 16, 2013 for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and the WiiU.
