This is one deal just launched that seems so good that I called my best friend and just told her about it, hoping she can snatch one up before they all sell out.
Amazon.com has just put this Netgear N300 Wireless Router with Built-In Powerline AV on sale for $59.99, which is 55% off the normal $133.00 list price.
When I saw such a cheap price for a great router, I ran in my sitting room to see what model Netgear router we own. Alas, it is the N600 model, not the N300, and I don’t know how much my husband paid for it.
But I do know that my human “bestie” was over my house the other day, talking about the $200 or so she’d spend on an Apple router – one that the Best Buy guy had convinced her was a great product – and it very well might be.
However, she said that the Netgear routers were the ones that were in the top five and highly rated by Consumer Reports.
So she’s taking her Apple router back to the store, and getting a Netgear instead. That’s why I called her to let her know about Amazon.com’s sale – but made sure to let her know it’s not the N600 model that’s on sale – a model that she said the Best Buy guy said didn’t even exist.
Perhaps it’s still a great deal for the N300 model. I don’t know. We don’t have that one. But I love the N600 model. It’s been faithful, even after I bought my MacBook Air on Black Friday.
My husband still has a laptop for now, and I want to buy him a MacBook so he’ll convert and see how much he loves it. Perhaps then an Apple router would work better for us than when we owned one and there were some kind of issues that my hubby doesn’t remember. After that, he bought the Netgear.
Like I told my friend, buy it if you want because they’ll probably sell out soon.
