Netflix to Discontinue 24 Classic Films

Periodically, the on-demand internet streaming media provider Netflix discontinues offerings to make room for new ones. In the most recent purge, Netflix will be discontinuing 71 offerings, including 24 classic films*. While the purge spans 9 days, from August 1st to the 9th, all but one of the classic films to be discontinued will be done so on August 1st, with the last film, being discontinued on August 8th.

*For the purposes of this article, movies released after August 1st, 1994 qualify as being considered classic.
