Netflix raising prices so they can bring in more original programming

Netflix has decided to raise their prices so that they can have more original programming. They have done a great job with shows such as "Orange is the New Black" and "House of Cards." On Monday, MSN shared the news about how they are going to bring up the prices for new members.

This will be the first time that they have raised prices in three years. Of course the subscribers are not going to like this idea at all. This price is going to increase by about $1 or $2 but only for new customers. If you are already subscribing, they will do what they can to make sure your price stays the same for at least a year. It is unknown how long that will last for sure.

Back in 2011, Netflix raised their prices and lost a ton of customers. This time the price increase was for current and new customers both. The fact that they are not raising the price for current customers should help out on making it where they will upset less customers.
