Netflix original series 'Hemlock Grove' gets a trailer

Netflix original programming is now a reality. The upcoming television drama Hemlock Grove will be one of the first original shows on the popular website. On Thursday, Jan. 10 Netflix announced that the series would premiere on April 19, 2013. Based on the novel of the same name by author Brian McGreevy, a short trailer was also released. The official synopsis can be seen below:

The series revolves around the eccentric residents of a dilapidated former Pennsylvania steel town and the murder of 17-year-old Brooke Bluebell. Through the investigation, the town's seamier side is exposed, revealing that nothing is what it seems.

The series will air thirteen episodes in total and is being executive produced by Eli Roth, as his television debut. Hemlock Grove will be available for instant streaming only, but will be broadcast in all territories which uses Netflix, including Canada, The United States, the United Kingdom, Latin America, Ireland, Scandinavia, and Brazil.

The one and a half minute long trailer gives more questions than answers and glimpses dark, foggy nights and brooding characters. The science fiction show stars Famke Janssen, Eliana Jones, Bill Skarsgard, Emilia McCarthy and Dougray Scott.
