About a month after the official DVD and Blu-ray release in August, Netflix made Season 3 of “The Walking Dead” available on its streaming video service on Sunday, informing its subscribers via email.
The addition makes each of the zombie apocalypse series’ 35 episodes available for viewing through the popular Netflix service.
The marathon will begin on Monday, Oct. 7, and will run throughout the week.
Unlike real-life marathons, the upcoming “Dead” marathon will air in multiple-hour segments daily up to premiere day.
It’s about time! Not all of us can afford the lofty price tags of $69.98 to $149.99 for the DVD and Blu-ray versions of this show.
Maybe we won’t have the fancy bonus features and bells and whistles the DVDs and Blu-ray discs have, but at least we can watch “The Walking Dead” when we want to on our streaming Netflix service.
There’s been plenty of offseason news and peeks at the upcoming season to generate excitement amongst the ranks of “Dead” fans.
From a still picture released on the first day of filming to the official trailer release at Comic-Con in July, it’s been a summer filled with excitement over Season 4. Not to mention the announcement of a spinoff, due in 2015.
For good reason, this show is rich in drama and solid character development. If you haven’t seen it yet, take advantage of the next two weeks to catch up on the show in time for the season premiere.
Season 4 of “The Walking Dead” premieres on Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. on AMC in Provo.
