As of today at 10:03am Neptune is safely back on home turf for the next thirteen years. Appropriately I was having coffee with a nice Pisces neighbor here in Oakland. Neptune in Aquarius for thirteen years wasn’t too difficult, especially being in mutual reception with Uranus in Pisces for the past several years. As I’ve said before the effects have been mostly generational and social in nature. For the most part, we don’t notice these planets coming and going unless we have strong personal aspects to them.
To recap from April 2011: being a Cancer, I like Neptune and have been looking forward to this new energy. Neptune will trine all my Cancer planets in the next few years and I plan to feel good and do some creative things. Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) should take note. They can get the best from Neptune although they do have to watch out for substance abuse. They must not let their moods run away with them.
People born around February 19-23, June 21-24 and October 21-24 will reap the most benefits this year. Spiritual growth, revelation, psychic ability, artistic and musical expression are just a few of the positive qualities of Neptune. This is a perfect time to incorporate meditation into your life if you haven’t already done so. Neptune will also influence those born around May 21, August 21 and November 21 (mutable signs, Gemini, Virgo and Sagittarius). Some people will experience confusion and extreme mood swings. They may feel lost and disoriented on some days. Bad habits like alcohol or drugs can be a problem. There can be disillusionment in relationships. Old ideals will fade away. One day you will realize a cherished dream no longer means anything to you. Over the next thirteen years these are some of the situations that could creep into your life but you may not notice at first. Neptune is sneaky that way. Smoke, fog, swimming, sailing, oceans, baths, day dreams, fantasy, secret romances, self-sacrifice, films, dance, alcohol, drugs, prescriptions, poison, fraud and the colors lavender, grey and green are some of the mundane things ruled by Neptune.
