Nephalia Drownyard is a rare “tribal” land in Magic: The Gathering’s Innistrad. This blue/black based graveyard enabler costs a substantial amount to activate for a three card mill, but certainly looks grand compared to Duskmantle, House of Shadow.

T: Add 1 to your mana pool.
1UB, T: Target player puts the top three cards of his or her library into his or her graveyard.
With an effective cost of 4 resources a turn to activate, Nephalia Drownyard is quite expensive to use. Sure, it can fill your yard up with a variety of fun flashback materials and cards that require you to have plenty of creatures in the dead zone, but you’re going to be sacrificing a hefty chunk of time and mana.
Because of this, Nephalia Drownyard might be best utilized in a blue/black control deck, where the board can be monitored and handled with possible Drownyard activation at the end of the opponent's turn.
It’s certainly plausible that you could mill your opponent out with Nephalia Drownyard as well, but it’s probably a stronger strategy to use it to take advantage of Innistrad cards and mechanics that require a stocked yard.
Send your deck and your opponents to a watery grave with Nephalia Drownyard at Magic: The Gathering Innistrad prerelease events, kicking off September 24-25.
