Neon Trees, The Wailers at annual free concert festival Earthfest May 17

Radio 92.9’s Earth Fest, presented by Whole Foods, is a monumental day featuring environmentally-friendly products, non-profit organizations, special guests, and live family-friendly entertainment. Radio 92.9’s Earth Fest gets grander each year and is the largest free radio station concert in the country!

Kicking off this extraordinary day of music is the winner of the local band competition, ‘Venetia Fair’ at 11 a.m. Having recently released their new CD, ‘Pop Psychology’ on Earth Day, Utah-based rock band, ‘Neon Trees’ is headlining this free concert!

Celebrating the 30th anniversary of their brilliant album, ‘Legend,’ the renowned reggae group started by Bob Marley, ‘The Wailers’ performs! Other acts include ‘Morning Parade,’ an alternative rock band from England, and indie-pop band ‘Smallpools.’

On the Kids’ Planet Stage, Zumix will share some local music! Winner of the National Arts and Humanities Youth Programs Award from the White House, Zumix’s mission is to empower youth to express themselves through music and make positive change throughout their community and the world. It is also geared toward providing music lessons and other technology to low income families.

Other artists on the Music in Planet Kids stage include Little Groove, catchy tunes from Singer-songwriter Vanessa Trien and the Jumping Monkeys, and winner of the Parent’s Choice Award for their latest CD, ‘Vowels CD,’ Steve Elci and Friends!

Aside from the concert, there will be plenty of environmentally-friendly displays, games, and family activities at Earth Fest, which is dedicated to the mission of teaching people how to keep this planet green!
