Neon Trees announce new album 'Pop Psychology'

On April 22 multi-platinum alt/pop group Neon Trees will release their third studio album entitled Pop Psychology on Island Records!

This news follows the news of the band's highly anticipated new single, "Sleeping With A Friend," which was released this past Friday. Listen in the video above or stream it on Soundcloud here!

Pop Psychology was recorded throughout 2013 in Cabo San Lucas, LA, and the band's hometown of Provo. Remember their first hit song "Animal" that catapulted them into popularity? Well the same man that produced that catchy single (as well as "Everybody Talks") produced and mixed the band's new album.

Although Neon Trees has captured the hearts of pop fans all over the world, they've never been solely a pop group. They've explored new wave, smart pop, and dance music, and this album continues that concept and boasts infectious alternative synth pop tunes that are sure to put smiles on fans' faces.

Singer Tyler Glenn said:

"The album is so special to me personally because it basically started from a place where I was broken and uninterested in anything to do with music. I had reached a breaking point. For me this record is a celebration, a cry for help, an admission of self-doubt, and a revelation of self-acceptance. At the very least, it’s a pop record, and to me the purest example of the sound of Neon Trees."

Catch Neon Trees on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on January 16, followed by a performance the next morning on TODAY. Also tune in to see the band on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on January 22!

A spring tour is in the works as well. Looks like 2014 promises to be a big year for the band!
