Neon Hitch announces free 'Happy Neon' EP release

British singer-songwriter Neon Hitch announced the release of her upcoming EP entitled “Happy Neon” on Monday. She teased the new music in an earthy video trailer.

“NEW MUSIC,” Hitch wrote on Twitter with a link to the trailer.

In the brief video, an ambient soundtrack backs Hitch as she walks through a woods-like area. The usually colorful singer is toned down with a more natural look, though her bright red hair shines on. Other than release details, not too much new music is revealed in the trailer, aside from the backing track. It seems to signal a more organic sound for the dance music queen.

Answering fan questions on Twitter, Hitch wrote that her “Happy Neon” music is “something from the heart that I'm really proud of.” She also let a fan know that her favorite song on the EP is “all of them” because they will tell a story together.

Hitch will put out a link for “Happy Neon” on January 14 via her Twitter account (@NeonHitch). She topped Billboard's dance chart for a second time last week with the song “Gold,” featuring rapper Tyga.
