The reality Diva revealed details of her near death experience and how doctors were misdiagnosing her by saying its "your gallbladder" before a CT scan was done. The scans then revealed a collapsed right lung and a partially collapsed left lung. Nene jokingly told the doctors that they were in the wrong room when she was diagnosed.

“Just to hear that though, I was so freaked out. I had never been in the hospital before other than to just have my children,” she said. According to The Doctors, a quarter of people who have a pulmonary embolism die suddenly without knowing they have the blood clots.

Nene said she had woken up with a striking pain in her side that kept getting worse before rushing to the emergency room to find out she had multiple blood clots on her lungs. The cause of the clots are unknown for the 46 year old, but there could be many explanations. Some of the popular causes are or could be:

  • High blood pressure
  • Sedentary jobs - sitting for long periods
  • Obesity
  • Crossing your legs for extended periods
  • Birth Control

Nene Leakes is now getting treatment and she is happy she caught the blood clots before it was too late.
