NeNe Leakes from 'Real Housewives of Atlanta’ to appear on ‘The Price is Right’

NeNe Leakes is one busy woman. She started her TV career on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” and then was added to the casts of "Celebrity Apprentice," "Glee" and “The New Normal. On Feb. 5, CBS executives announced that she is one of six celebrities chosen for "The Price is Right: Celebrity Week,” which airs on CBS from Monday, Feb. 18-Friday, Feb. 22.

This is the second year for Celebrity Week on “The Price is Right.” The stars play alongside regular contestants and their winnings are awarded to the celebrities’ chosen charities. Last year, Snoop Dogg raised the most of any celebrity for his charity. CBS revealed on Tuesday that this year’s celebrities raised more than $500,000 combined, but won’t say if anyone topped Snoop’s individual record. It looks like fans will just have to tune in to find out.

Below is the schedule for Celebrity Week on “The Price is Right:”

• Monday, Feb. 18: Nick and Drew Lachey play for Camp Joy
• Tuesday, Feb. 19: NeNe Leakes plays for Saving Our Daughters
• Wednesday, Feb. 20: Sharon Osbourne plays for The Sharon Osbourne Colon Cancer Program
• Thursday, Feb. 21: Charles Barkley plays for The Mustard Seed School
• Friday, Feb. 22: Demi Lovato plays for Free the Children

All of the celebrities will participate in six of the show's popular games as they help contestants vie for spots in the Showcase. Also, each star gets to spin the famous wheel for charity as well as present special showcases full of their own personal favorite prizes.

Drew Carey hosts “The Price is Right,” the longest running game show in television history. It airs weekdays from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. EST on CBS.

NeNe Leakes first hit the silver screen when she appeared on season one of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” in 2008. She still stars in Bravo’s hit series, which is currently airing new episodes from the fifth season. Leakes is the sole season one cast member still on the show, as DeShawn Snow, Lisa Wu-Hartwell and Sheree Whitfield were released. "Tardy for the Party" singer Kim Zolciak will star in her own Bravo show this spring.

NeNe’s “tell-it-like-it-is” attitude caught Donald Trump’s eye and he offered her a part on “The Celebrity Apprentice” in 2011. However, she walked off the show and failed to earn any money for her charity. In 2012, Leakes joined the cast of “Glee” in the role of Roz Washington. She currently stars as Rocky Rhoades on the NBC comedy “The New Normal.” She is also the author of “Never Make the Same Mistake Twice” and is an advocate against domestic abuse.

NeNe Leakes is currently planning her second trip down the aisle with her ex-husband Greg Leakes, whom she divorced in 2011. For her second wedding, Leakes told the E! Network that she wants an over-the-top affair this time around. The wedding will take place in Atlanta and Cynthia Bailey is one her bridesmaids. "My first marriage was very traditional, in the church, and then we left the church and went to the reception hall," Leakes said. "So this time, I'd like to go fairy tale all the way." It’s possible her dream wedding could become a TV special, just like Kim Zolciak’s nuptials were featured on “Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding.”

In the meantime, NeNe Leakes stays very busy. Catch her in action on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta (8 p.m. ET on Sundays on Bravo) and “The New Normal” (9:30 p.m. on Tuesdays on NBC).
