If NeNe Leakes had her way, Kim Zolciak would be the only and last white woman to be a housewife on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta." In an interview with The Young, Black, and Fabulous, posted on Monday, August 4, NeNe declined to provide the names of housewives from the other cities that she would invite onto the show, the reason being that none of them are African American.
NeNe was asked if she would ever invite a housewife from the other shows onto "The Real Housewives of Atlanta." NeNe replied that her show is very different being that it's all African-American and pointed out that there aren't any African-American housewives in the other shows. As for why being African-American matters to NeNe, it's because she just doesn't think that a white woman would be able to handle her and her co-stars. "I honestly don’t think a white girl could survive on this show," she said.
Interestingly enough, Melissa Gorga, of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," told Andy Cohen when she was on his "Watch What Happens Live" talk show that she recently filmed with NeNe for the Atlanta housewives show. That encounter, however, was accidental since both happened to be at the Home Shopping Network's studio on the same day to promote their respective business ventures. It remains to be seen whether Melissa's scene with NeNe will actually make it to air when season seven debuts.
One housewife who has admitted that she wouldn't be able to be on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" is Miami housewife Joanna Krupa. When asked by TMZ in February if she would ever consider being an Atlanta housewife, Joanna dismissed the suggestion with a "h*ll no." "Those girls would stomp all over me," she said with a laugh.
There has still been no official announcement from Bravo on whether viewers will see the Miami housewives for a season four. With the future of "The Real Housewives of Miami" looking increasingly bleak, perhaps Joanna Krupa would reconsider filming with NeNe Leakes?
