NeNe Leakes showed off her cha-cha-cha moves on her first episode of “Dancing with the Stars.” The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports on March 18 that the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star earned 21 points out of a possible 30 points for her first dance with Tony Dovolani.
Leakes was the first to dance on the show, but she did not let the audience see her nerves. Wearing a revealing white dress and shoes with fringe, Leakes took control of her stage and delivered on her promise to show off her personality. The judges seemed impressed with her first dance, but they also offered her some advice to improve next week if she is not eliminated.
The judges recommended that Leakes work on her footwork and noted she has more to offer on the dance floor. Her score of 21 points left her in a tie with several other contestants, but she did not get the lowest score of the night. Leakes let her emotions out while listening to the judges and started to cry. However, she explained she simply wanted to make Dovolani proud because they worked hard together on her cha-cha-cha for “Dancing with the Stars.”
The first couple will be eliminated next week, and Leakes hopes to survive long enough to at least get the chance to get closer to the trophy. The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star has been busy asking her fans to vote for her on Twitter and reminding them about the competition.
