During the episode, the pair discussed NeNe's recent behavior and came to the conclusion that NeNe had been extra abrasive as of late because she had "lost her job" on "The New Normal," which was canceled after just one season.
After seeing the episode play out, and hearing her former friends' harsh words against her, NeNe has spoken out in her defense, explaining that despite "The New Normal" coming to an end, her accomplishments are something any one would be proud of.
"The New Normal was an amazing series with talented writers, actors, and creators. If you were in this business, then you would know that as an African American actress not many of us can say that we have worked on two major networks at the same d**n time as working on a cable network," NeNe explained in her Bravo blog, according to a March 12 Wetpaint Entertainment report. "That's amazing within itself!"
NeNe is right. There aren't many reality stars who have been able to successfully parlay their reality career into a respectable acting career, but she has done exactly that -- and she should be proud!
