Jameer Nelson returned for the Magic, but it was not enough to push Orlando past the Clippers, falling 86-76 Wednesday night. He led all Magic scorers with 18 points, but was one of only three Magic players in double figures. Vucevic continues to play at a high level without the help of Glen Davis. He scored 15 points and added 14 rebounds. The only other player in double figures for the Magic, Kyle O'Quinn. He scored 10 points and had nine rebounds, which is a nice surprise but not something you can depend on to win you games. J.J. Redick, Glen Davis, Aaron Afflalo, and Hedo Turkoglu all did not play.
The Clippers were also short-handed Wednesday night. Blake Griffin, Chris Paul, and Jamaal Crawford all did not play Los Angeles. Eric Bledsoe stepped up in their absence though, leading all scorers with 27 points and a mind-boggling six steals.
The Magic led 42-40 at the half but could only muster 13 points in the third quarter and fell behind for good. The loss marks Orlando's longest streak of the season, now standing at 11 games. The Magic shot under 35% for the second straight game and Jameer Nelson was held scoreless for the entire second half after scoring 18 in the first.
Orlando will try to get back on track Friday when they head to Cleveland to take on the Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. ET.
