The Nelson Garrett’s Spring Antiques Show is March 23 & 24, 2013. It is the forty-fifth annual show for them - quite a record! This show is part of Antiques Week in Charleston, SC. It is one of the best shows ever held in Charleston, SC. On Saturday, March 23, 2013 the hours are 10 am to 5 pm. On Sunday, March 24, 2013 the hours are 11 am to 4 pm. They have a huge following. For antique shoppers and antique collectors this is an absolute must. Many of the prices are negotiable.
Donna Garrett Kidd, who manages the show said: “We have over 30 dealers, many of whom have never been to Charleston before. Some of the new ones are Mary Lawson of the Polished Antique from Greenville, SC, who will bring silver, rugs and porcelains. Lucy Keebler of MorningSide Rug Finders from Atlanta will have a booth of nice old Persian and Turkish rugs and early 20th century European oil paintings, JoAnn Hathcock of Heritage Antiques of Germantown, TN, will have antique and estate jewelry. Warren Burls of Antiques of London has not shown in Charleston for years and will have wonderful European and Oriental porcelains. Garth Curry of Blue Moon Antiques from Sarasota, FL, will bring antique continental furnishings and decorations. Virginia Lucas from Summerville will have porcelain and cut glass. Victor Weitz from Brooksville, FL is bringing American art pottery and art deco items. Tom O'Hara from Sharon, CT, will bring furnishings and accessories of a home in America circa 1820, John Steele from Asheville, NC, will have a wide assortment of oriental antiques.”
