brutalizes 15-year-old Malika Calhoun
(AP Photo/King County Sheriff's Office)
The criminal case against King County, Washington, Deputy Paul Schene for the beating he inflicted on 15-year-old Malika Calhoun will be resolved one way or the other in the months to come. Schene has entered a "not guilty" plea to the slap-on-the-wrist misdemeanor assault charge he faces for brutally abusing a prisoner in his custody. What won't be resolved anytime soon, though, is the unduly deferential attitude too many people -- including commenters at this site -- have toward police officers, whose violent actions they defend.
In the comments to the original story, Big Worm says, "If she hadn't been a smartass she wouldn't have been 'beaten' ... if you are old enough and tough enough to get arrested and act smart towards the police, then you are old enough to get roughed up a little."
Commenter Stephen says, "If she wasn't a criminal this never would have happened. Does she have a right to cuss out a cop, kick her shoes at him? No. She got what she deserved."
She got what she deserved."
Freda adds, "[T]he fact is she was probably doing something she shouldn't have been doing. Where are her parents? This is typical to take up for the criminal...etc. I personally don't know why anyone would be a police officer...they get paid nothing and have to deal with the scum of the earth."
Those remarks fit in with the complaint of Deputy Travis Brunner, Schene's unindicted co-conspirator, that Calhoun was "real lippy," with the implication that this justified the beating. In the video, Brunner did nothing to intervene.
To be clear, support for the beating is a minority sentiment among commenters -- most people reading the article, viewing the video and leaving their thoughts were horrified by the incident. They called for Schene to be treated like any other criminal.
But how do we get to the point where anybody supports brutal assaults, so long as they're committed by people wearing government-issue polyester shirts with pot-metal badges.
This is quite a change from the early attitude in England and America, where, despite rising crime, many people resisted the establishment of professional police forces for fear that they'd become "a 'standing army' that was incompatible with republican liberties."
That actually might have been giving the police more credit than they deserved. Early on, police forces proved to be violent, but not disciplined, In 1857, two rival New York City police departments -- the Municipals and the Metropolitans -- escalated their jurisdictional dispute into an all-out riot on the steps of city hall. The fighting was quieted only by the intervention of the state militia.
[T]he police being only members of the public who are paid to give full-time attention to duties which are incumbent on every citizen in the interests of community welfare and existence.
-- Sir Robert Peel
To address concerns about organized bodies of armed men enforcing the government's will, Sir Robert Peel, the founder of modern professional policing, made it clear that:
Police, at all times, should maintain a relationship with the public that gives reality to the historic tradition that the police are the public and the public are the police; the police being only members of the public who are paid to give full-time attention to duties which are incumbent on every citizen in the interests of community welfare and existence.
Without doubt, police are subject to greater discipline today than in the past, but they also have vast power and resources. The roaming constables armed with whistles and clubs of the nineteenth century have turned into paramilitary units with sophisticated communications, automatic weapons, nation-spanning databases and armored vehicles.
They're not even treated as members of the public. Killing or assaulting a police officer today carries special charges and penalties, as if it's deserving of greater condemnation to lay hands on an armed man who has chosen a profession that comes with certain risks than it is to thrash a nun or a dentist.
But they're still the same fallible human beings who beat the crap out of each other in pre-Civil War New York City.
So, what in the concept of armed members of the public keeping the peace entitles police officers to brutalize people under their power? Why should people who chose the law-enforcement profession be treated any different than the rest of us when they start throwing unjustified kicks and punches and dragging people around by the hair?
I can't think of any good reason for giving police officers special privileges. In fact, considering the special powers and resources they already have, it makes sense to hold them to a higher standard than the public at large. A crime committed by a police officer, if treated differently than one committed by anybody else, should carry a tougher penalty, not a lower one.
And we should get rid of those special charges and penalties for people who victimize police officers, too.
Frankly, if regular paychecks, taxpayer-issued guns and armor, and backup a radio call away aren't enough to keep Paul Schene and his buddies happy in their work, they're welcome to try their hand at really dangerous jobs, like driving taxis or working on commercial fishing boats.
Beating up people because they're "lippy"? That should get you the same penalty no matter what job you do.
Below, Malika Calhoun talks about her ordeal.

Those cops had no right to beat that girl just because she had a smart mouth and she kicked her shoe off. If everyone in the world took it upon their selfs to start beating someone just because they thought they had smart mouth we would all be in a world of trouble, but if we were cought doing something like that we would go to jail for it. Just because they are cops doesn't give them the right, they should be punished just like one of us would be. and for everyone who sided with the cops, you all are stupid idiots, and I bet you'd think different if it was one of your children that was getting beat.
It seems to me that there is some question about whether she should have been in that cell, in the first place. She is a minor. I would think she would deserve the protection of at least one of her parents.
Also, consider that false arrests are becoming more and more common place.
My family recently experienced such an incident. This was the second of two brutality incidents in Houston in about a 60-day period of time.
I like what you have to say about our historical attitude toward policing. City police forces are very un-American organizations. It's a joke when they talk about curbing racial profiling or protecting and serving the public. From their inception in the U.S. in Boston and New York they have been all about persecuting various "minority" nationalities and serving the elite. They have gone way out of control. Some of these guys are not only return-soldier who have lost their humanity, but the training and educational institutions are causing them to lose their humanity. They are being trained to kill.
Again, I wish I had an answer. If enough people's family members are maimed and murdered by the cops, maybe eventually something will be done. When I tell my family's story to people now, I can tell that either the reality of it doesn't register - or maybe they just don't know what to say to me.
But, eventually, people will have to wake up. Houston has had a string of police murders, recently (one just a mile away from our Houston residence in a "nice" area) - in the victims' homes and many of them shot in the back "in self-defense."
If I were that girls father I'd be on my way to prison by now for brutally beating that cop to a pulp. Badge or no badge I saw a D!*#less retard give a little girl a right cross to the face, then slam her head against a concrete wall, then give her two jabs to the back of the head, followed by an attempted scalping. As I said if this were my daughter I would be so enraged that he would be lucky to be alive if i ever got my hands on him. In fact being that I live in the Seattle area, if I am ever to see this piece of garbage on the street I might beat him to a bloody mess based on principle.
Just looking at the still-shot on your page above something else strange occurs to me about this"
There is a camera, a (probably wrongly) detained minor girl, two male cops and... a toilet. Does that strike anyone else as perverse??? There is a camera aimed at the toilet!
Maybe Stephen wouldn't have said that had it been his daughter. I take he hasn't been around too many frightened, immature 15 year olds. Good thing. He's probably an abuser, too.
The people making comments defending this police officers actions should be ashamed of themselves. The girl is 15, whether she was acting up or not nobody deserves to be assaulted in that manner, especially an on duty police officer whose salary is paid by US. "Roughing up" ANY prisoner is disgusting and justice should take its course, not a detour into power-hungry-abusive-cop town

Jdawson, were it my child I too would be on my way to prison, but for more than beating the no good descendant of unmarried people unknown to each other. Knowing that he will walk away from this no or little punishment there isn't much other choice. And these idiots have no idea what they are bringing upon themselves when the majority of the public can no longer pretend they don't see it.
That's why people hate cops ...
Regarding the comments about this particular "police procedure" covered in the two articles:
It was pleasing to see so much 'attitude' against totalitarianism, while the gov't loving/excusing/worshipping sycophants were very much in the minority-just wish that that was the case generally...
This is going on all over the country everyday. It just isn't getting caught on camera all the time. I'm sure the first thing they will do is get rid of the camera.
if this was my daughter there would be no need to arrest the officer. there would just be a missing person report and a job opening at the police dept..
First off, that cop is a p.o.s. I would like to get him alone in a concrete cell and find out how tough he really is. Second, what the fu$% was the other cop doing?? Protect and serve?? He should have beat Paul's ass right then and there. That tool bag should be sent to prison where his new name would be Peaches!
RAGED,is what Washington State officer has.Myself outrage at his actions.Paid Administrative leave Really " OUTRAGE"
i posted before i went to work earlier. i work at a max. prison in ohio, 20 years and 13 years on the st. as a cop. thats 33 years this june. never have i hit a child in all these years. i arrested dozens and have had a few 16 year olds at the max. at my prison i have the worst of the worst to deal with everyday. if i or one of the other co's did this to a child rapist and murderer we would be in jail and on our way to a prison cell. think how much lip i have to put up with everyday. there is no defense for this. i speak with almost 33 years behind me.
This cop should be treated just like Chis Brown is being treated. At least Rihanna is grown. It will take something drastic like hurting a cops family members for these suckers to get the message. People should not be surprised at the fact that some white people approve of this. Study Illuminati. They are the original devils. While not all white people are bad. The ones that are should set it if they think they have the power. Stop hiding at undisclosed locations and go for what you know. And yes the Government should have seen Martial Law coming a mile away. To the people that matter(non-whites and good white people) we need to do something now. As a dad(white, black or whatever race) how would you feel if someone did this to your daughter?
I second that cooper.
I trust I qualify as what thegod referred to as "good white people". You see, I was outraged before I knew the victim's race. In my way of thinking, no person should be treated like that by those who are (supposedly) sworn to "protect and serve".
I work in the Juvenile Justice field, at a secure treatment facility for juvenile felons.
I am a certified instructor in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, which encompasses both verbal intervention strategies and physical interception skills. I also teach the Safety and Security class at our Academy.
I have worked in the corrections field for 12 1/2 years, first as an officer/guard/Youth Leader, and for the last four years as management.
I tell you this so you know that I have some small basis for my opinion here.
That officer used excessive force from the beginning of that incident right up until the end. First, there was no justification for him to enter that cell, based on what the video shows. Second, he had no cause to attempt to kick the smaller, weaker, non-threat girl. Third, his strikes were completely uncalled for. Fourth, he should not have slammed her head into the wall. Fifth, his use of her hair to pull her to the floor was out of line. Sixth, his continued strikes were unnecessary. Seventh, he should not have lifted her by the hair. Finally, the other officer is at fault as well- he permitted this abuse to happen. The first officer should not only be fired, he should be criminally charged with child abuse. If he worked in MY facility, I guarantee that's what would happen. The second officer should face discipline for negligence- he failed to protect someone in his care.
And no, I haven't forgotten what it's like to work in the trenches with aggravating youth. I still do it every day. As a matter of fact, I had to restrain a youth today- but I did it safely and without injury.
As a father, if someone did that to my daughter (cop or not) he'd end up beaten to within an inch of his life. I'd mess him up so bad his family couldn't identify him without a name tag.
06/2006, Paul Schene fatally shot Pedro Yo, 11 times in the back of the head and torso while entering his car.
Gestapo Paul claimed to have been "attacked"- sound familiar? Yet Pedro was only trying to get away from the "kind" and "gentle" officer.
He made no threats, didn't have a weapon and was stopped for an alleged "traffic" violation.
Sounds like Gestapo Paul doesn't like when people don't listen to him and reacts in a very violent way. What a sick, disgusting lump of flesh he is.
Gestapo Paul also shot another man in 2002, three times. This person he shot was also unarmed and posed no immediate threat to him. Again, Gestapo Paul was ANGRY. "deputy" Paul has a proven history of VIOLENCE and over reacting to what would be considered minor incidents by anyone else with a normal personality.
I live in Iowa, and have been trying to follow this story. I don't know why, maybe because I have a daughter. But I have been waiting to read any latest updates on this jerk. (Deputy Paul Schene) Anyone have any suggestions on the best way to keep up on it?
"Angela says: Just looking at the still-shot on your page above something else strange occurs to me about this" There is a camera, a (probably wrongly) detained minor girl, two male cops and... a toilet. Does that strike anyone else as perverse??? There is a camera aimed at the toilet! March 3, 11:11 AM"
Yes, Angela, it is perverse and it's recorded so the cops can play it back at their will and for "entertainment".
The minute I first saw the video, I immediately thought the same thing.
I recently came across a website that is for/about law enforcement and a judge who writes for the site, thinks/wants ALL STRIP/BODY CAVITY SEARCHES TO BE RECORDED ON VIDEO so no arrested/incarcerated person can claim they have been "abused" by this disgusting/degrading/demeaning "procedure"!
I still can't believe it.
The response of the officer was quite measured and quite honestly he roughed the girl up, he did not beat her: If anyone with true fighting skills were to beat someone they would required serous medical care.
Quite honestly I believe this officer, who has laid his life on the line more than once to protect you and your families and was almost killed (read the transcript of the inquest before you write and show your ignorance, the inquest is on line at Seattle PI) in an incident where he shot a man, should be given the benefit of the doubt not treated more severely than you or I would as regular citizens. If one of us, as a regular citizens, slapped a disrespectful teenager who was verbally abusing us and then hit us with a shoe, we would probably receive some penalty (so should she, by the way) but no one would make this big a deal about it. Most officers are spit upon, cursed and assaulted in the line of duty and, MOST of the time, those assaults are committed by women and often teenage girls because you as a society let women get away with it.
My opinion is the greater MORAL offense is the verbal abuse and disrespect of authority shown by the teenage hoodlum (who was later charged with threatening to shoot someone in the face, by the way) to the officers (ever seen how disrespect to authority is dealt with in the bible? It is treated very severely!) . Her verbal abuse and disrespect toward the officers should be treated as a crime in its own right, with a penalty similar to the caning done in Singapore. The disrespectful hoodess got less than she deserved. Given her attitude, there is a favorable probability that she will commit such abuse toward someone, perhaps a real criminal, who is not so restrained and will not respond in a measured fashion.
You who attack the officer and would treat him more severely than a regular citizen for the same offense, you deserve the pathetic and lawless society that is breaking down at the seams. You are morally rotten. You teach children that their rights and privileges are more important than their responsibilities and obligations and then you racially reverse discriminate against a while officer for a fairly minor and even understandable over reaction. You who would crucify the officer while winking at the offense of the teenage hood, collectively, are rotten morally and you dont deserve the protection of dedicated peace officers.
i hope we meet some day........a55 wh0le...
"if this was my daughter there would be no need to arrest the officer. there would just be a missing person report and a job opening at the police dept"
If anyone of my children showed shuch disprespect top authority, I would say my child got less than than he/she deserved.
But then, I actually believe in respecting authority.
Jim Crow, you are an idiot. Read the transcript of the inquest before you write, you fool.
Pedro Joe attacked the officer, attempted to strangle him with his own mic chord and was fighting for almost eight minutes. Several civilian witness came forward and said they thought the officer would die in the fight. An inquest jury took only a small amount of time to decide the officer had reason to fear for his life and the shooting was justified. Pedro Jo was a mentally ill and dangerous menace who had committed felony assault against an elderly woman (went to jail for it), threatened his parents with a knife. His college professor asked for police protection when he gave out grades he was so afraid of Pedro Jo.. Pedro Jo was committed as criminally mentally Ill and was a violent man who was guilty of repeated violence and threats against people.
Given the fact that Pedro Jo committed attempted murder against a police officer (choking him), was driving dangerously at a very high rate of speed endangering the lives of others and he was a clear public danger fleeing a felony it would have been within the law to shoot him to stop him from leaving the scene.
"This cop should be treated just like Chis Brown is being treated. At least Rihanna is grown. It will take something drastic like hurting a cops family members for these suckers to get the message. "
thegod, Fool. Racist devil! Chris Brown's offense was charged as a felony because there were serious injuries. There were no injuries in this case and that is why it is charged at such a low level.
george,
I do not even have the will or want to respond in full to your inane babble. But I will say three things.
One, thank god your twisted point of view is of the minority.
And two, do you think that if that small weak 15 year old girl was a 6'4" 250-300 pound man that Officer Paul would have attempted to inflict the vigilante beating you so approve of?
And three, video tape yourself doing the same thing to one of your children and submit it to any law enforcement agency. Please.
One thing this article doesn't point out is the possibility that Malika's "lippy" behavior was in response to Schene being "lippy" to Malika before that. We (anti-police brutality activists) have managed to get in contact with one of Malika's relatives, who says during the arrest Schene was telling them "you people" (i.e., Black people - Malika is of mixed race) cause society all sorts of problems, etc. Her "lippy" behavior, according to this relative, was simply not wanting to take any crap from Schene. By the way, look at the "War on [some] Drugs" if you want PROOF that police profile (and are therefore generally racist), with drug arrest/incarceration rates for Blacks being WAY out of proportion to the racial demographics of who buys/sells drugs
- out in the "open" or otherwise.
george says:
"Pedro Joe [sic] attacked the officer, attempted to strangle him with his own mic chord..."
According to the man who KILLED Pedro Jo. As for the witnesses, there have been MANY cases of police coercing witnesses to testify in corroboration, or to not testify in contradiction, of what police say happened. In this case, the main pro-police witness happened to be under arrest at the time. It'd be REAL easy for the whole police structure to say to said witness: testify to what Schene said happened, and your case is dropped and your record is wiped clean; testify in contradiction to what Schene said happened, and we'll arrest you again and make sure you wish you were treated as gently as Malika was. Schene already falsified his police report by claiming the cause of the contusion on his shin was Malika's shoe, when you can clearly see in the video his shin slamming into the toilet as he threw her into the corner of the cell. So if he can lie about why he "needed" to beat somebody up, you think he'd have MORE cause to lie about why he "needed" to KILL somebody.
CSA says:
"This is going on all over the country everyday. It just isn't getting caught on camera all the time."
That's the point that needs to be HEAVILY emphasized - this case is tip-of-the-iceberg material. And one semi-solution is revealed in the Oscar Grant case in Oakland: anybody can be a copwatcher. But that's just not much of a possibility inside of jails.
SeattleO22 wrote:

Why would you or anyone else assume this statement was referring to Black people? It could have been teenagers, juvenile Delinquents, criminals, etc. Only someone who is a racist him/herself would assume You people was somehow referring to Black people.
However, Blacks do cause society all sorts of problems
George, your post does not even dignify a response, but I will comment anyway. If you honestly think that attacking and beating an underage child is okay, you need serious help. The mere fact that you assume the victim deserved what they got what they deserved is apalling, and obnoxious. No matter how rude someone is, they still have nerves, and still have human emotions, JUST LIKE YOU. The fact they are not as morally "righteous" as you does not make them less human. Nothing justifies a random attack for being verbally rude, ESPECIALLY seeing as how we live in a country that protects free speech. Personally, I am ashamed to consider the fact someone as obnoxious and as much of a jackass as you is a part of my species, let alone my country. They are sworn to PROTECT AND SERVE. Nothing justifies them breaking that oath, let alone the fact that they attacked a prisoner for being 'lippy'. OUR COUNTRY PROTECTS FREE SPEECH. If the police don't defend basic rights, who will?
This is disgusting. Those two are disgraces to real men in uniform.
"And two, do you think that if that small weak 15 year old girl was a 6'4" 250-300 pound man that Officer Paul would have attempted to inflict the vigilante beating you so approve of?"
I would expect a 250-300 pound man would have been taken down even harder, given that he would be significantly more of a threat.
I guess it is too much to expect the average American, who does not understand combat or self defense, that this was really not a big deal. I would like to see 100% of American youth be required to serve in the military: There is too much cultural difference between the average sissy American and the defenders (police & soldiers). I still dont think this was a big deal and the fact that most of youdo says to me you do not know how to fight.
I have talked to many cops about this incident and the only part they questioned was the swinging at her on the ground at the end of the incident: they were fine with all the rest of it.
We are not sure he hit her on the gound
That Cop is just mad at himself because his prostitute mother , slept with some african american. Racist a**. I wish it was me in that holding cell , I'd throw a beatdown on his a** gun or no gun.
An open letter ( A solution to stop torture law enforcement)
Dear Mr. President,
Please help to stop the torture of people in Democratic Europe!
Law enforcement officers, primarily police and security guards, have the ability to arrest people, especially dark-skinned people, in the name of law, regardless of their guilt. They can escort these people to a room, such as a dressing room, a vehicle or another place without public views nor security cameras. There they can beat, torture or even sexually assault these people.
When victims of such cases try to stand up for their rights and seek justice, the guilty officers have the excuse: violent resistance to the law; thus it is their duty to deal with them. Law enforcement often censor such cases so society never hears about them from the media. There have been numerous cases all over the Democratic and Humanitarian Europe (for more information 120cases) contact Mr. Juan Fonseca, chief of Dis
MR Dear Mr. President, ( A solution to stop torture law enforcement)
There are even more cases in the US and around the world available online as evidence to back up this proposal in order to end these kinds of barbarian behaviors
A possible solution to stop this type of violence would be to require all law enforcement officers to carry a small digital video camera (with a few GBs of memory), attach it to their uniforms, and require them to tape their actions on duty. It is not an expensive technology when you compare it to the costs of court when dishonourable officers are sued by their victims. The cameras should be encrypted and not able to be stopped or viewed by officers. The footage should be collected from all officers and archived daily, when they finish their working day.
There should also be cameras placed in all law enforcement premises and officers should not be allowed to take arrested people to any "blind" places......
...allowed to take arrested people to any "blind" places. Law enforcement communication should be recorded 24 hours a day by a higher level law enforcement unit. This unit should consist of a diverse group of people from as many different nationalities and races available in that country. The recorded materials should be publicly available for use in court.
I sincerely hope that you will kindly consider this matter not only as President but as someone who deeply cares about humanity. I hope you will further this idea by talking to your colleagues around the world because it would have positive effects for every country. The next generation would remember you not only as the 44th President but as someone who has done good for the entire world, making big changes for justice and human rights by stopping racism and discrimination all over the world.
With best wishes and a hope for a better world for us and our children.
Yours truly,
Hector and Tyler,
". If you honestly think that attacking and beating an underage child is okay, you need serious help."
Personally, I would make no distinction in a self defense situation.. I would knock a women, teenager, old man, old women whatever out as quickly as I would a man if the person was threatening me.
This sweet teenager was charged with a felony for threatening someones life and she is a car their, and a reprobate as well.
Hey Hector is that your pathetic and backward Latin machismo that says there is something taboo about hitting a women? It is a pathetic and backward view: There is no gender preference in American Society
SeattleO22,
If you look at the crime and incarceration statistics, it is clear that American Blacks are a group with significant criminal tendencies. How would you expect your children to be successful and well adjusted when 70%+ have no father at home and no nurturing.
The 15 year old girl has had a history of problems with her family as well.
The behavioral norms American Blacks accept and encourage seem to me to reflect lower moral values and intelligence.
SeattleO22,
Are you a Black racist?
George
That policeman is supposed to be a responsible public servant. He is well paid and should as a condition of employment be able to refrain from beating the crap out of smart mouth children. No woman and no fifteen year old should be beaten by a grown man. This is not a grown man, but a violent fool who cannot control himself. He has proven that he cannot be trusted with a badge and a gun. Let him find some job that he is suited for.
Probably 3 strokes of the cane would have been a more appropriate punishment for the bitch.
George,You're an a. sshole.NO ONE deserves this kind of beating for just kicking her shoes off at him. Wouldn't surprise me if the cop was being a g0dd. mn pig. She was just arrested, not proven guilty yet. She's only 15!! and a GIRL. If he can't handle insults from a 15 year old little girl, w.t..f would he do with an adult? shoot them?He seems like a jack. ss who shouldn't be a cop but a boxer of some sorts. He acted unprofessional and should lose his job+do some jail time. If i was that girl i probably would have kicked him in the b. lls after getting up. Authority my a. ss, if you INSULT me or ASSAULT me for no reason, you can go f. ck yourself, whether you're a cop or a random person. Though reading at your comments, i can see you're just a gd d. mn ret. rd who wouldn't know right from wrong if it f. ckd you up the a. ss. Funny though seeing you try to justify this CLEARLY uncalled abuse, tell me are you a cop too who likes to beat little kids up? BIG BOY! ;)
George, you just really need to shut the f.uck up for sounding like a smart-dumb mother f.ucker. Lets see you get your a.ss beat by a cop and find out if you feel the same about this. Hope your f.uckin mommy aint feeding your brain any more bullsh.it cause I cant stand reading the nonsense coming from your heartless a.ss
YoYo and Ruen,
You have lectured me and I repent of my evil ways.
I agree with George. We live in a society of entitlements that need to be earned. Treat people with respect and they'll do the same. Calhoon needs to understand that society isn't always going to protect her despite her behavior. She should be thankful she wasn't raped, sodomized and killed just because they felt like it like they do in other countries. This generation are thankless and spoiled. They'll all get theirs one day.
It really wasn't a beating, it was a roughing up to show who is boss. The officer could have snapped her like a twig if he really wanted to hurt her...he clearly did not intend to hurt her.
I never get bothered by cops becusue I ALWAYS SHOW PROPER RESPECT.
"REUN says:
George, you just really need to shut the f.uck up for sounding like a smart-dumb mother f.ucker. Lets see you get your a.ss beat by a cop and find out if you feel the same about this."
Frankly, if it was me, I would have roughed her up (not hurt her mind you) out side the view of a camera or anyone else. But, she deserved a roughing up and I would give it to her if I could get away with it. I would have slapped her around a bit to show her not to disrespect cops.
The criminal Black needed an ass beating and, in fact, the ass beating hopefully will have some effect on chaging her N*gg*r ways. She is the classical definition of a *igg*r.
