After rumors spread about an upcoming duet album of cover songs with Jack White, Neil Young quickly put those rumors to rest with a post on his Facebook page. "False rumors: Neil Young and Jack White are not doing a record of duets as has been erroneously posted on various outlets. We are certain those rumors have no basis in truth."
Those rumors began to spread after Young visited White's Third Man Studios in Nashville, and was photographed recording inside Third Man's 1940's recording booth.
While fans are disappointed to learn of the bad news regarding the alleged duets album, Young recently revealed to Rolling Stone that he did, in fact, record an album at Third Man saying, "it's one of the lowest-tech experiences I've ever had."
Third Man Records also released a statement on the upcoming album: "An unheard collection of rediscovered songs from the past recorded on ancient electro-mechanical technology captures and unleashes the essence of something that could have been gone forever."
As vague as that sounds, Young did say the album will be titled A Letter Home, and is due out in March.
