The "How I Met Your Mother" star Neil Patrick Harris has taken to Twitter to respond to the media news reports that he and long-time boyfriend David Burtka had called off their wedding after an ugly lover's spat. Showbiz Spy reported on Thursday, Feb.28 that the couple had decided to call off their wedding after the two were reported to have gotten into a disagreement
The story was that Harris and Burtka got engaged after the Marriage Equality Act was passed back in 2011, but have now put their nuptials on hold. One source told the celebrity news site that the two men are hardly speaking to each other now.
“They’re barely speaking, and as of now there’s no wedding in the immediate future,” a source said.
It seems that Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka were on their way to a swanky celebrity party, when a disagreement between the two broke out into a full fledged war, they attended the party, but according to the source the two did not leave the party together, it is unclear if they both even returned to their shared home that night.
”They walked into the party mad at each other,” recalled the insider. “They both threw back a couple of whiskeys, and that only made things worse.
“Neil’s still mad and David is terrified he’s going to lose him.”
But the Daily Mail has a different version of the story and also posted on Feb.28 that Neil Patrick Harris has debunked the wedding postponement talk via Twitter.
NPH posted on is official Twitter account that the wedding postponement talk is just media rumors.
He said: "The Nat Enq is cray cray. We've never had a wedding date, just engaged (Prop 8 and all). We're on a cruise as I write. He's rad. All good."
Harris and Burtka have been together since 2004. They have twin girls that were born in 2010 by a surrogate.So according to"HIMYM" all is good and the news is totally blown out of proportion.
Neil Patrick Harris can be seen every Monday night at 8 p.m. on the hit comedy "How I Met Your Mother."
