Romainian black/folk metal group Negură Bunget will appear at Bonds 007 in San Antonio this Saturday, May 19th. The band is rarely seen on these shores, but they've amassed a respectable cult following over the past 15 years. If nothing else, they may be one of the Romania's best-known metal acts. Countrymen Din Brad and The Way of Purity are also along for the ride to raise the exoticness factor.
Bonds 007 can be a pretty rough room to play, so the band will need an extra-warm Texas welcome. No doubt they'll expect a lot of guns and cowboy hats in tow, but perhaps some of our local beer will suffice. If you can't make it to San An, be advised that Negură Bunget is also appearing at Maryland Deathfest next weekend as well.
