Negrete McLeod still undecided over which seat to seek

Will she or won’t she? That is still the question in political circles in San Bernardino County. With one week already over in the filing for political officers, Rep. Gloria Negrete McLeod has yet to announce her intentions for either her current seat for Congress or the San Bernardino County Fourth District Board of Supervisors.

Our National Democratic sources tell us that Negrete McLeod will announce her intentions early next week. We are being told that she still can't make up her mind but Democratic leaders have told her to announce her intentions immediately.

Other sources tell us that Chino Valley School Board Member James Na, who has also pulled papers earlier in the week to run for the Fourth District seat, is expect to drop out of the race after Chino Hills Calvary Chapel Pastor Jack Hibbs endorsed Curt Hagman's campaign this week for county supervisor. Hibbs pastors the largest church in the west end of the Fourth District.

Hagman helped elect Na to their local school board. Na is expected to throw his support to Hagman.
