Update 5/2/14: Rescued!
For nearly a year, a senior German shepherd has been housed at the West Valley Animal Care and Control facility in Chatsworth, Calif.
"Farrah," who is listed as eight-years-old, came to the facility in June of 2013 - from her photo, it is readily apparent that her life has been less than stellar...her coat is thin, fur is missing, and she looks tired.
A year alone in an animal control facility kennel run is too long - exactly why she has been overlooked for so long is a mystery. Perhaps potential adopters have been put off by her age, or by her potential medical issues. Whatever the reason may be, Farrah deserves to be in a home, where she can receive love, good food and much needed veterinary care.
