The Ultimate Fighting Championsip (www.ufc.com) has become increasingly popular in America. On Saturday, October 24th, 2009, the UFC presents a championship bout. Lyoto 'The Dragon' Machida seeks to defend his belt against the onslaught of Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua. Look for an exciting matchup from these impressive fighters. The undercard is serviceable, with Cain Velasquez clashing with Ben Rothwell. The preliminary bouts will air on Spike TV.
If you are looking for a great place to catch the fights, Buffalo Wild Wings does the trick. Most importantly, the fight will play on multiple screens. This usually includes at least one large projection screen. Plenty of other sports and distractions will show on other screens. NTN Trivia junkies can get a fix here, too.
The menu will fit most tastes, but specializes in chicken and hotness. Wings come in a variety of flavors and temperatures. Carribean Jerk as hot as you can handle never fails. Lighter fare includes salads and wraps. Like most restaurants, the sampler platter is your best value if ordering appetizers. If you have trouble deciding, feel free to explore. It is hard to go wrong.
For those that enjoy beverages with a kick, you will be pleased. Buffalo Wild Wing's has multiple beers on tap, a respectable bottled beer and wine list, as well as a full liquor bar. Check with your local store for happy hour times and prices.
If your television doesn't cut it or you don't want to shell out the full pay-per-view price, Buffalo Wild Wings is one Jacksonville restaurant chain where you can get your UFC fix. Try a different dish and drink everytime you visit, it will take awhile to repeat yourself.
