Hello fuzzy friends, it’s time for another installment of this beard care series. One of the favorite beard oils from the last series came from The Bearded Bastard. This time around, I’ll be checking out some of the new Simply Vanilla Beard Oil (and some Woodsman that I wrote about here), a couple flavors of mustache wax, and something called shave oil.
Everything about The Bearded Bastard speaks of quality, substance, and style. The bottles are wrapped in handmade cedar labels (reminds me of one of my favorite cigars), the ingredients are all natural, sometimes quite exotic, and the scents are rich and intoxicating. Check them out:
Simply Vanilla Beard Oil
The ingredients are simple; Grapeseed, Almond, Safflower, Argan, Jojoba, Fractionated Coconut, Olive, & Castor oil, and the scent comes from Madagascar Vanilla and 10 fold Bourbon Bean Vanilla essential oils - $30 for a 1.2-ounce bottle with a dropper top.
Simply Vanilla Mustache Wax
This stuff is made from Beeswax, Lanolin, Cocoa Butter, and Jojoba Oil and it is scented with Madagascar Vanilla Essential Oil. Each 1-ounce tin is topped with a real cherry wood label.
Woodsman Mustache Wax
Just like the Vanilla, this mustache wax is made from Beeswax, Lanolin, Cocoa Butter, and Jojoba Oil but it is scented with Texas Cedarwood, Sandalwood, and Pine Needle Essential Oils. Each 1 ounce tin is topped with a real cedar wood label.
This has the longest list of ingredients, by far, but it has the most work to do, as well. Check out this tutorial to read about the advantages of shave oil.
This shave oil consists of Castor, Grape Seed, Safflower, Olive, Argan, Jojoba, Rosehip, Perilla, Meadowfoam, Pomegranate, Sea Buckthorn, Vitamin E, Glycerin, & Neem Oil and is scented with Calendula, Eucalyptus, Lavender, Tea Tree, Vanilla, Coffee, Amber, Rosewood, Citrus, & Tobacco Essential Oils. Each 1.2-ounce glass bottle features a dropper top and is wrapped in a handmade cedar wood label.
