Sheets in a home technology column? Yep. No one ever said this space had to be filled with nothing but high-tech electro-gadgetry. Sometimes the nexus between the home and technology is a quiet thing, a thing done differently, a solution to problem no one knew they had.
This is why you need to know about Sheex Performance Bedding. According to Sheex, their products are made from “unbelievably soft fabrics” that are designed for “enhanced breathability and advanced thermoregulation” to “provide unrivaled comfort for deeper, more restorative sleep.” Though you’ll have to wait for the review to find out about how well these sheets performed, it should be mentioned that they make a very good first impression.
The fabric, a blend of 87% polyester and 13% Spandex, feels like something from Under Armour but so much better. These sheets are eight pounds (for King size) of soft, stretchy performance bedding the likes of which I have never before experienced. In addition to the stretch and soft feel, these sheets are designed help keep you cool and comfortable while you sleep.
The aim at Sheex was to help create the optimal thermal conditions for sleep by using fabrics designed just for that purpose. Just like the performance fabrics found in athletic clothing, Sheex sheets are designed to transfer body heat two times more effectively than cotton. They also breathe nearly 50% better to help reduce temperature fluctuations that can disrupt sleep. Both of these features also mean that you should never find yourself searching for the cool side of the pillow, which would be very nice for a change.
