Need to know: K45 Elite by Keurig

Every morning the day begins with coffee. This is not negotiable. Those of you familiar with this know that it is serious business. In fact, according to, Americans spend 18 billion dollars per year on the stuff. Because of our love for coffee, we are always looking for ways to make it - make it faster, make it better, make it just the way we like it. For example, in my house, the daily brew machine for the last 13 years has been a Bunn BT10-B, but there’s also an nine cup Bialetti Moka Express, and two French presses. Each one has its place in the coffee hierarchy of the household. Each one serves a particular purpose, and each one serves a particular style of coffee. With this in mind, the idea of adding another coffee making device to the roster makes perfect sense. Enter the K45 Elite Brewing System from Keurig.

The K45 sits in the middle of Keurig home brew line up. It has a much larger capacity than its slightly less-expensive sibling, the K10, and has many of the features found on brewers costing twice as much. This probably accounts for why it is one of Keurig’s most popular machines. Like all Keurig brewers, the K45 is fully automatic. It features a 48 ounce removable reservoir, three cup sizes (6, 8 & 10 ounce) from which to choose, the Keurig Quiet Brew Technology, and automatic shut off. Also, according to Keurig, the K45 will brew a perfect cup of coffee in under one minute with just the touch of a button.

You will have to tune in later this month to see how the K45 performs. For more information about this or any of the Keurig coffee brewers, click here. I need another cup of coffee.
