Need to know: Dream Beard

Five oils and lots of swag.
Five oils and lots of swag.

If you’ve been paying attention, you are aware of the little beard care series going on in this here column. Back in the first article of this series, I noted how the market for products of this sort has really taken off in the past year, so we have a lot of ground to cover. Today, we are taking a look at a bevy of beard oil from the folks at Dream Beard.

That’s right, Dream Beard has come up with five manly flavors (please do not drink beard oil) for that facial fuzz of yours. Variety, as the saying goes, is the spice of life, and Dream Beard is making sure you get to experience some of it. Available in Lumberjack, Gentleman Beard, Mechanic, Carpenter, Bearded Barber and in a variety of sizes, from the tiny “To Go” to the tankardly “Big Beard Bottle” which is four times bigger than their regular sized, Dream Beard more than likely has something for you.

While all of the Dream Beard products are organic, only 80% of them are certified organic which is right on par with products of this sort. Each of them contain at least jojoba, olive oil, and vitamin E with blends of rosemary, frankincense, fir needle, bergamot, clove, cedar wood, cinnamon, and bay oils, as well as vegan musk and a proprietary blend of essential oils depending on the flavor.

First impressions

  • Lumberjack - think pine forest and a hint of cedar
  • Gentleman Beard - warm cinnamon and a bit of bay
  • Mechanic - brisk citrus and mellow muskiness
  • Carpenter - crisp rosemary and fresh cut cedar
  • Bearded Barber - remember that barbershop your dad used to take you to when you were a kid?
