Need inventory to sell on eBay? Talk to your dry cleaner!

Ask your dry cleaner how they dispose of unclaimed items.

Clever eBay sellers are constantly looking for ways to find inventory to sell. Not only do we need inventory, but we need it as inexpensively as possible and we don't want to do more work than necessary to find it. Here is a tip for working smart, not hard when finding eBay inventory.

If you are friendly with your local dry cleaner, you may want to try approaching him about his unclaimed items. The dry cleaners often ends up with several unclaimed articles every month. Usually the items are just donated to charity.

Think about it. What kinds of items do customers take to the dry cleaners? Their best clothing that requires a gentle touch - fabrics that cannot be washed at home, such as silk, cashmere, wool, and delicate fabrics. Customers also take in fine linens, beaded evening gowns, draperies, and down comforters. In other words, the dry cleaner can end up with some pretty expensive stuff. And to top it off, the items will be cleaned and ready to resell in excellent used condition.

Talk to your dry cleaner about how she disposes of the unclaimed items. You may be able to buy them for a song - and the cleaner will be only too happy to make some extra money. It always helps to offer to pay in cash.
