"Need for Speed Rivals" is going to be part of the Playstation 4's launch day. Developer Ghost Games announced through a post on the Playstation blog this morning that the game's release has been moved up for North American gamers.
By bringing the game on the PS4's launch day, "Need for Speed Rivals" will be the first racing game on the next generation console. Ghost Games believes they are setting the bar for racing games for the console in the future, thanks in large part to the Frostbite 3 engine.
The next generation game will feature weather changes to go along with fantastic vistas and scenery. The game will allow for out-of-the-box sharing of a user's AllDrive moments and players can put down the DualShock 4 controller and pick up their Vita to continue the action and adventure.
This particular game is the first one that has actually been released by Ghost Games, so the studio has quite a bit riding on the success of "Need for Speed Rivals." The fact that gamers can grab a copy at the same time they are picking up their Playstation 4 on November 15 can only help.
