Rookie guard Nemanja Nedovic tweaked his hamstring in the Santa Cruz Warriors 95-85 home win over the Reno Bighorns on Friday night at Kaiser Permanente Arena.

He was replaced by Kiwi Gardner with 1:42 left in the first half and did not return as a precaution. He finished with seven points, one assist and one steal in nearly 19 minutes.

The team told reporters they were being "overtly cautious" with the 22-year-old who Golden State acquired in a trade with Phoenix after he was selected in the first-round (30th overall) of June's NBA Draft.

Nedovic appeared in 21 NBA games with the Warriors averaging 1.14 points in 6.4 minutes per contest.

He was assigned to Santa Cruz on Dec. 28 for more playing time along with rookie center Ognjen Kuzmic though the latter has since been recalled.

He's averaging 19.0 points, 3.6 assists, 2.2 rebounds and 1.6 steals in five D-League games.

Santa Cruz hosts the Canton Charge on Saturday, no word if Nedovic will be available.
