NECA and 4K Media to release ‘Yu-Gi-Oh!’ collectables

Yesterday, figure and collectable company NECA announced that they have reached an agreement with 4K Media to release licensed collectables based on the popular series, “Yu-Gi-Oh!”.

“Yu-Gi-Oh!” was a manga series from Kazuki Takahashi that began its Weekly Shonen Jump run in Japan in 1996 and was published in North America by Viz Media. The series gained quite a bit of popularity and was eventually turned into a trading card game as well as an anime and has seen plenty of spin-offs.

Among the “Yu-Gi-Oh!” collectables that NECA can produce under the agreement are action figures, headknockers, HeroClix, collectable replicas, puzzles, jewelry, posters, board games, calendars and other accessories that utilize artwork from the trading card game. “Yu-Gi-Oh!” products are expected to launch in time for the San Diego Comic Con and continue to roll out through the end of the year, so that should be something for fans to look forward to.

Sadly no images of any of the products were provided at this time. I guess we will just have to wait a little longer.
