Nearby Dearborn, Michigan home to Old Car Festival

Just a short drive north of Cincinnati yields a weekend of fun for lovers of antique cars. Greenfield Village in Dearborn, Michigan is host to the 61st annual Old Car Festival. America’s longest running antique car show, here you can check out authentic vehicles from the 1890s through 1932. Wander through expositions and talk to the proud owners of these treasured vehicles. Enjoy presentations and see a Model T assembled in just minutes!

The fun does not end here, the Village has an amazing collection of historic homes collected and moved here by Henry Ford, including the Wright Brothers Bicycle shop from nearby Dayton, Ohio. You can also ride in a Model T, on a train or in a historic horse-drawn carriage. Artisans demonstrate their skills alongside historic interpreters and you can even step back in time to dine!

The Old Car Festival takes place September 10-11, 2011.

Greenfield Village is part of the The Henry Ford Museum complex which is also a great destination for car lovers with an immense collection of historic vehicles as well as planes and trains. Historic treasures are not missed here either, including the chair President Lincoln was sitting in when fatally wounded. Ford's collection highlights everything "Americana" and is a fun way to spend part of your visit.
