A good Samaritan noticed a listing on Craigslist regarding a nearly frozen dog chained in the yard with “no food, shelter or water for 2-3 days at a time.”
The concerned neighbor who posted the ad also noted that the local animal control officer ‘left a note on the owner’s door as he (the owner) had been out of town.’
Concerned animal lovers are worried about this poor dog. She has been confiscated by Clayton County Animal Control, but is now in danger of either being redeemed by his owner and left outside in below freezing weather or put to sleep.
The animal control officer who answered the phone at this facility stated that all dogs were adopted out, however, The Clayton County Animal Control Facebook Page is begging for help and states, “this is a HIGH KILL shelter in Jonesboro, Georgia.”
“Consider all animal URGENT this is Animal Control. Animals are held for 3 days after that they can and will be euthanized.”
Please consider helping with donation pledges or offer to foster so that this dog is not killed or returned to her owner.
