Ne Yo refuses to be an absent, workaholic dad

Fresh off the 2010 American Music Awards and release of "Libra Scale," singer/songwriter Ne-Yo says his plans for fatherhood including being there for his daughter -- not becoming an absent dad.

According to Neyo, the first thing to go will be his "workaholic" stance...

"I plan on using the little free time I get more wisely. I can't be as much of workaholic now that I have the responsibility to get home so this little girl can have a father. I refuse to be a Skype dad," Ne-Yo told Essence this week. "When it's possible for me to go home I'm going home, to make sure my daughter knows her father."

As previously reported, the Grammy Award winner welcomed his first child, a baby girl, he named Madeline, earlier this month. He has also confirmed work on upcoming releases from Beyonce and Justin Bieber.
