Ndamukong Suh may be considered the dirtiest player in the NFL, but TMZ reported on Jan. 28 that the Detroit Lions' star just saved a man's life. The man Suh saved was comedian Louie Anderson.
The site said that Anderson was taping an episode of "Splash" this weekend and he almost sunk to the bottom of the swimming pool due to exhaustion. Anderson was practicing diving but grew tired and couldn't pull himself out of the water, eventually falling back in.
That is when Ndamukong Suh leapt into action. Suh and Olympic diver Greg Louganis helped pull Anderson from the water and to safety, where he recovered from the scare.
This was a great moment for Suh, who has built a horrible reputation as an NFL bad boy, racking up suspensions and fines throughout his career. In an anonymous poll of current players, the NFL athletes voted Suh to be the dirtiest player in the game. He even picked up some complaints when he signed up for "Splash."
Teammates believe that an injury during the reality show could hurt his offseason preparations for the 2013 NFL season.
At least for today, Ndamukong Suh can be considered a hero.
