On Jan. 1, numerous laws became effective with one being the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012 (NDAA, H.R. 1540). The controversial NDAA may give future presidents authority to indefinitely detain U.S. citizens on suspicion of terrorism. Many Americans are voicing their opinions via social media with claims of targeting the Constitution unjustly bringing tense emotions to the forefront. This new law has brought distress to many people as they feel deceived by the enactment of this law.

Americans to Obama: Veto NDAA, White House phones jammed
Some individuals are charging the Bill of Rights is being subtly dismantled piece by piece with chicanery and feel their rights as U.S. citizens are becoming obsolete. The due process of assumed terroristic charges is taken away with NDAA which appears to conflict with the Constitution. Many believe the obfuscation of the law leaves out direct interpretation and may have dire consequences in the future.
