There are only two more episodes left of "NCIS" for Cote de Pablo and her character, Ziva, and then the team will be down one member. On Tuesday, Sept. 17, TVLine revealed the actress who could be filling that spot.
We already know that once Ziva leaves, beginning with episode 3, we'll see "NCIS" filling the hole left behind by rotating in team members, much like "Bones" has done with the squintern position ever since the Jeffersonian team lost Zach. There was already news that a character named Bishop would likely be filling the spot permanently, but for now, the show's first going to give the character-and actress—a trial run.
Emily Wickersham has been cast as Bishop, and right now, she's signed on for three episodes with the option to become a series regular and a permanent fixture with the team. Bishop is described as "a bright, educated, athletic, attractive, fresh-faced, focused and somewhat socially awkward new agent" with "a mysterious mixture of analytic brilliance, fierce determination and idealism" and has traveled a lot but "only feels comfortable at home." Will she find a home with Gibbs' NCIS team? Will viewers like her? We have a feeling it might take those three episodes for fans to decide if they want to see her around permanently or not, but fortunately, they won't have to wait too long to meet her, as she's going to be introduced during November sweeps.
"NCIS" season 11 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on CBS. What do you think of the casting of Bishop?
