"NCIS" has to say goodbye to one of its own when season 11 begins, and on Wednesday, Aug. 28, CBS released the first promo for the premiere, "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot"—and it's all about Ziva's goodbye as these first two episodes of the season are Cote de Pablo's last.
In the "NCIS" season 11 premiere, an explosion at a D.C. black-tie affair leaves Parsons (Colin Hanks) with a new role in the agency and a new perspective on Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and his team, plus it results in a casualty connected to the agency. Being without badges isn't going to keep Tony (Michael Weatherly) and McGee (Sean Murray) from investigating the case, even though there are dangerous ties to each of them.
But where's Ziva? The new "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot" promo to the left (the song is "Holding On and Letting Go" by Ross Copperman) offers some hints about what's coming up, not only for Ziva, but for the agency as well. Let's break it down:
- Ziva is missing, and Tony is off to find her. It looks like she's in Israel. "Don't worry, Tony," she tells him. "We will be okay." We expect several Tiva moments in the first couple of episodes, but could that be the last? Will it feature a Tony/Ziva kiss?
- Someone is targeting the team.
- Tom Morrow (Alan Dale) may have been injured in the explosion.
- Ziva is the next target. Does she have to go into hiding? Is that how they'll write her out since she's not dying?
"NCIS" season 11 premieres Tuesday, Sept. 24 on CBS. What do you think of the first premiere promo for "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot"?
