"NCIS" season 11 is bringing back a familiar face in Muse Watson's Mike Franks in next week's episode, and on Tuesday, Oct. 8, CBS released a sneak peek preview of episode 4, "Anonymous Was a Woman," teasing his return as Franks continues to show up despite the fact that he died back in "Swan Song."
In this next "NCIS" episode, the murder of a woman impersonating a deceased soldier leads to Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and McGee (Sean Murray) traveling to Afghanistan and an Afghan women's shelter Mike Franks secretly supported for years. Yes, even though he's dead, we're still learning that there's so much more to Franks than meets the eye.
The "Anonymous Was a Woman" promo to the left offers a look at the victim being found and the crime scene, and then the rest of it is pretty much all about Mike Franks. "Bend the line, don't break it," Gibbs reminds him—and oh, he is angry. "Human smuggling breaks it." What exactly was Mike Franks doing? Once overseas, Gibbs and McGee run into trouble, but these women don't have anywhere else to go and Gibbs isn't going anywhere.
